Tellabs Optical LAN Part of Solution Recognized With ACT-IAC 2015 Igniting Innovation Award

NAPERVILLE, IL--(Marketwired - Feb 25, 2015) - Tellabs, a leading provider of passive optical network (PON) solutions, today announced that its Optical LAN technology was an integral part of a solution recognized by the American Council for Technology - Industry Advisory Council's (ACT-IAC) Igniting Innovation 2015 Award program, which honors the leading solutions, tools, services and programs developed by government and industry leaders to address government's biggest IT challenges. The Secure Passive Optical Network (SPON) solution, developed and deployed by NCI, Inc., and powered by Tellabs Optical LAN, was named a Dynamite Award winner in the most disruptive category for its implementation at the U.S. Army's Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) Greely Hall facility.
