Tellemachus Selects Airspan for 4G Public Safety Application

BOCA RATON, FL--(Marketwire - Feb 28, 2012) - Airspan Networks Inc., a leading provider of 4G broadband wireless access networks, announced today that Tellemachus, an innovative public safety integrator, has selected its 4G Pico base station, AirSynergy, for several applications including RDN, CCTV surveillance and mobile workforce connectivity in the United Kingdom.

AirSynergy is extremely compact, self-contained, all-outdoor, light and easy to deploy. Tellemachus is deploying the base stations to provide reliable, secure, wireless broadband 4G connectivity in remote areas, or when an RDN system is needed to establish communication where infrastructure either does not exist or has been compromised. The network supports fully mobile or fixed user connections, while enabling data-demanding, uplink-centric applications such as CCTV camera surveillance.

The units will operate a secure radio system over licensed spectrum delivering secure, real-time mission-critical voice, video and data communications.
