Telonu Launches Layoff Tracker Widget & Layoff Talk Microsite

Telonu's Layoff Tracker Widget and Layoff Talk Microsite Give People the Inside Scoop on Layoffs -- Including the Stories, Reviews, Companies, and People Behind Them

MILPITAS, CA--(Marketwire - February 23, 2009) - Telonu Inc., the site that lets you Rave, Rant and Rate™ your Workplace and the People there, introduced its Layoff Tracker Widget and Layoff Talk site to help people keep pace with the job market and stay on top of the latest pink slip announcements in these turbulent times.

The new widget lets anyone easily display as-it-happens layoff announcements on their blog or website using a simple copy and paste command. For each announcement, Layoff Tracker, available at, displays the company, date of announcement, and number of affected jobs.

Viewers can click through to Telonu's Layoff Talk Microsite ( where they can read more details about a specific layoff, check out what others in the community have posted and write an anonymous (or not!) review to tell their story either linked to a company or in general. Layoff Talk offers unique insight into what insiders are saying about a company -- from reviews to latest layoff rumors circulating around the water cooler to real stories from recent casualties of today's economy.

Layoffs and layoff anxiety have become a large part of today's work culture. Since the start of the recession in 2007, the total number of unemployment claims jumped to 2,394,434 (according the Bureau of Labor Statistics). And 2009 is off to a gloomy start. January 26 saw more than 75,000 more jobs shed at Caterpillar, Pfizer, Sprint Nextel, Home Depot, and more than seven other companies. Telonu's Widget and Microsite consolidate this information, allowing visitors to keep track of layoff related information.
