Acquisition to expand collaboration between healthcare professionals across Canada

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Sept. 17, 2014) - TELUS Health announced today it has signed an agreement to acquire XD3 Solutions, a pharmacy management solution provider currently serving 150 pharmacies in Quebec.

"Pharmacists are often the healthcare professionals closest and most available to patients. As a result, they play an integral role in providing quality healthcare to Canadians," said Paul Lepage, President, TELUS Health. "We strongly believe that by expanding our portfolio of pharmacy management software product offerings using the XD3 products and expertise, we will enhance collaboration between pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, physicians and insurers, which in turn will drive a better patient care experience."

TELUS Health is committed to helping pharmacists and healthcare professionals collaborate, thereby transforming the way pharmacists and pharmacy chains contribute to delivering better health outcomes for Canadians. During the past five years, TELUS has invested $20 million in research and development focused on pharmacy management and increased collaboration tools and services to support the transformation of healthcare in Canada.
