TELUS to forge ahead with fibre optic deployment in Eastern Quebec

Thanks to financial support from the federal and provincial governments, 99% of Eastern Quebec residents and businesses will have access to TELUS high-speed Internet by 2021

GASPÉ, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Dec. 19, 2017) - TELUS is pleased to announce that it has been granted $31 million by the federal government's Connect to Innovate program and the Quebec government's Québec branché program to continue deploying its PureFibre broadband network in Quebec. This amount is in addition to the $13.7 million that TELUS has already committed to investing in its incumbent territory. By 2021,TELUS will have invested over $300 million in its fibre-optic network.
