Tentative agreement reached with North Bay AIDS committee workers

NORTH BAY, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Aug. 17, 2015) - CUPE Local 4720-04, representing the AIDS Committee of North Bay and area workers, reached a tentative agreement on August 13 with their employer.

The tentative deal averted the strike/lockout deadline that was set for August 15. The local will be taking the agreement to their members for a ratification vote on August 26. No details about the tentative deal will be released until after ratification.

Local 4720-04 members include social workers, outreach workers, medical professionals and others. They provide services like dispensing medications, needle exchange and retrieval, counselling and critical coordination with other agencies for people in crisis.
