LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - Feb 14, 2013) - Terra Inventions Corp. (OTCBB: TERX), winner of the 2010 X-Prize using 21st Century Design & Engineering of emission-free, all electric, high speed, long range automotive propulsion systems using the latest lithium-ion battery technology, has achieved significant engineering advancement adding additional driving range by capturing the Kinetic energy from vehicle motion and providing battery charging during vehicle motion, increasing overall efficiency and reducing battery consumption.
Range Anxiety, viewed by some as an obstacle in the advancement of Plug-in Electric Vehicles, has been largely ignored by other Electric Vehicle providers with most electric vehicles delivering a range of 100 miles or less per single battery charge. Terra Inventions leads in the development of Extended Range All Electric Vehicles in the pursuit to eliminate Range Anxiety and reduce the vehicles' carbon footprint.
Terra Inventions Corp. has designed an onboard, in-motion charging system by installing wind generators within the chassis of the vehicle to capture the kinetic energy from the Relative Wind that is present while the vehicle travels at speed and convert it to electricity, increasing the overall efficiency of the vehicle, thereby extending the battery range. Terra Inventions vehicles already capture energy from motion with the Regenerative Braking system that charges the batteries during braking. Providing additional energy to the batteries during vehicle operation significantly extends the driving range of an All Electric vehicle on a single battery charge with no parasitic loss added. This engineering advancement further reduces the carbon footprint of the vehicles.
Terra Inventions Corp. is not new to electric cars. Since 2003, the company has been a pioneer in the advanced development of Lithium Ion battery technology and has almost a decade of research and development. Terra has converted internal combustion cars to fully electric all along and is poised for significant growth moving forward. Recently celebrating the 5 year anniversary of the first ever retail delivery of the first completely electric, Lithium Ion powered car in the world, Terra Inventions stands as the world's leader in all electric, Lithium Ion powered automobiles.
Terra Inventions has converted PT Cruisers, Mini Coopers, Toyota Yarises, Pontiac Vibes, trucks, and motorcycles. The company's customer base extends to other countries including Canada, the Netherlands, and the United Arab Emirates.
Along with the production of original vehicles, the company licenses its proprietary Battery Management System (BMS) and technology to automobile manufactures seeking to advance their electric vehicle offerings.
About Terra Inventions Corp.: (OTCBB: TERX) The company has ten years' experience and expertise in the conversion of internal combustion cars to all electric for both individual and corporate customers as well as government agencies such as NASA.
