VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 12, 2011) -

TerraBioGen Technologies Inc. (TSX VENTURE:TBG), a developer and marketer of proprietary technologies for the production of organic-based, high-value agricultural products from organic wastes, announces that it has completed a comprehensive review of its plant process.

The review was conducted by Quadrogen Power Systems, Inc., an applied process engineering company located in Vancouver, B.C. The review included a detailed analysis to evaluate and optimize the TerraBioGen process in terms of design and economics. Estimates for capital costs, revenues, and operating costs were conducted initially on 50 tonne per day (TPD) plant and a 100 TPD plant and subsequently on plants of 250 TPD and 500 TPD. A sensitivity analysis was also performed to show the effect that key parameters have on internal rates of return of the process.

The results of the review indicate a significant reduction in the capital cost of a plant and a similar reduction in the operating costs. The effect of these reductions is a much faster payback period and attractive internal rates of return. For companies wanting to manage their organic waste and also offer quality agricultural products, the TerraBioGen technology is a viable alternative.

Blair Heffelfinger, President and CEO of the Company stated, "We are very pleased with the independent process review conducted by Quadrogen. Their analysis has allowed us to focus on the key success factors in our plants in order to provide high value, consistent products that offer an attractive option for potential customers. One of these key success factors is the production of our plant growth promoter which we announced and filed a patent on earlier this year."
