Texas A&M University Athletics Chooses NeuLion for Live and On-Demand Digital and Mobile Video

New iPad and Other Mobile Applications Expand Experience, Choice and Flexibility for Aggies Fans to Consume Sports Content

PLAINVIEW, NY--(Marketwire - Nov 3, 2011) - NeuLion, Inc. (TSX: NLN), the true end-to-end technology service provider for delivering live and on-demand content to any Internet-enabled device, today announced a multi-year contract with Texas A&M University to offer fans a brand new digital and mobile experience for viewing college sports. This new partnership will give Aggies fans an unprecedented amount of new video content, which they'll be able to view in a variety of outlets and on new platforms, including a brand new iPad app.

The official Texas A&M athletics iPad app will stream live video broadcasts and audio of athletic events through their video portal, 12th Man TV, to Aggies fans across the country, making sure they never miss any action. This app also provides Texas A&M with an opportunity to reach their fans, engage with them and extend the school's branding opportunities. The iPad app includes a host of other features such as live stats, on-demand video highlights and interviews, schedules, scores, photo galleries, news and the ability to share content through social media channels like Facebook and Twitter.

In addition, over the past two months, NeuLion and Texas A&M worked together to revamp the Aggies digital and mobile experiences. Specifically, NeuLion has:

  • developed the Texas A&M Android application with iPhone application to launch in the near future
  • redesigned the Texas A&M website and 12thManTV
  • provided live editing services to produce highlights in real-time
  • syndicated Texas A&M's content through NeuLion's college affiliate network

The platforms will offer live and on-demand streaming video and/or audio of Aggie sportscasts -- including football, baseball, soccer, volleyball and other sports. The on-demand content, which includes highlights, condensed and full archived games, will be available after the completion of each individual event and can be shared through the social media channels of individual users.

"We're very happy with our new partnership with NeuLion as this will allow Texas A&M Athletics to stay at the forefront of website design and digital and mobile content creation and delivery," said Jeff Schmahl, Senior Associate Athletic Director at Texas A&M University.
