Texas ESC Region VI Partners With SchoolReach to Provide Area Schools With Parental Notification Services

Service Center to Use Automated Notification System to Improve Communications With Member Districts Plus Extends Special Pricing and Terms to Member Districts

ST. LOUIS, MO--(Marketwire - January 7, 2010) - Education Service Center, Region VI in Huntsville, Texas has announced it is implementing SchoolReach Instant Parent Contact to communicate with staff and school administrators. Under the use and endorsement program, Texas school districts within ESC Region VI will also be able to purchase the mass notification service at special rates and terms.

"The decision to use SchoolReach came about by a need from the service center itself," said Nancy Oliver, deputy director for administrative services. "We wanted a way to increase communication with our schools and we especially wanted to be able to communicate with our staff in the event of an emergency. We made the decision to partner with SchoolReach because of the system's simplicity and reputation."

"Our main concern was simplicity," said Oliver. "We spoke with other educational service centers and school districts in Texas who are using SchoolReach and they were all very pleased. When looking for a system to handle emergencies, you need something easy and simple; after seeing how simple SchoolReach was, we went with the service."

Rapid notification systems, such as SchoolReach, enable school administrators to broadcast school notifications to all or groups of parents with one phone call. Once thought of just for emergency announcements, automated parent notification systems are now an integral part of school communication plans saving school administrators time, money, and resources.

"We are very pleased that ESC Region VI is implementing SchoolReach to improve communications with their member districts," said Paul Langhorst, chief marketing officer for SchoolReach. "We make parental notification simple, affordable and easy to implement for school districts and their decision is validation of these core principles on which we run our business."

About ESC Region VI -- Education Service Centers were created by the Texas Legislature in 1967 to support local education.
