Texas United Bancshares Announces First Quarter Cash Dividend of $0.08 per Share

LA GRANGE, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 20, 2006 -- The Board of Directors of Texas United Bancshares, Inc. (NASDAQ: TXUI), a community banking organization located in central and south central Texas and in areas north and south of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, declared a first quarter cash dividend of $0.08 per share on the Company's common stock. The dividend is payable on April 3, 2006 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on March 17, 2006.

Texas United Bancshares, Inc. is a registered financial holding company listed on the NASDAQ National Market under the symbol "TXUI."
