TFI New Labels® 2014 Final Four Revealed

Canadian Designers to vie for $25,000 in National Design Competition

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - April 15, 2014) - After an in-depth selection process and much anticipation, the Toronto Fashion Incubator (TFI) has revealed the four emerging Canadian designers who will compete in TFI New Labels® 2014 for Most Promising New Label, presented by Suzanne Rogers. Fashion VIPs and industry aficionados will gather in support of the TFI, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting in the success of fashion entrepreneurs. Fashion icon and host of Bell Media's FashionTelevisionChannel, Jeanne Beker, will emcee the evening of networking, cocktails and impressive runway show showcasing the final four collections on May 5, 2014 at One King West.

The Finalists
To qualify for TFI New Labels® 2014 and be eligible for the grand prize, candidates were required to be Canadian designers in business for three years or less, with contemporary womenswear collections. TFI's panel of judges, including co-founder of TNT, Arie Assaraf, fashion director at FLARE Magazine Tiyana Grulovic, noted fashion designer David Dixon and philanthropist Suzanne Rogers, mentored a selected group of semi-finalists over a six month period on the steps to creating a successful line. After evaluating how each designer had evolved, the judges narrowed the contestants down to four final designers, who will each present 12 looks at the final stage of TFI New Labels® 2014.

All womenswear designers, all hailing from Toronto, this year's lineup features well fitted and meticulous line AliceAzur by Miriam Baker, contemporary dress and separates brand and finalist in last year's New Labels competition, Christopher Paunil, ethically handcrafted with artisanal influence line Laura Siegel and easy to wear, travel inspired swimwear collection NOMAD of the SUN by Ashley Boutcher.

The Prize
The chosen designer will walk away with a $25,000 cash prize for Most Promising New Label presented by Suzanne Rogers, an exclusive editorial in FLARE Magazine and production of a look book for their winning collection, provided by beauty partners COVERGIRL and Pantene.

Net ticket sale proceeds from the fashion show will benefit the TFI, a non-profit, community-based, small business centre that provides critical support to fashion entrepreneurs. Tickets, which include a networking social, cocktails and fashion show, are available online at
