Thanks to Power Industry, New England Lights Up Fourth-Quarter 2010 With $2.2 Billion in Project Starts, an Industrial Info News Alert

SUGAR LAND, TX--(Marketwire - October 13, 2010) - Reported by Annette Kreuger, Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- As the fourth quarter of 2010 begins, it looks like the New England region is on board to firmly rebound from last year's dismal showing. As opposed to the $226 million in capital and MRO-maintenance project starts during fourth-quarter 2009, the region is anticipating the launch of 60 projects with an astounding cumulative total investment value of $2.2 billion, according to Industrial Info's North American Industrial Database, with an average project total of $37 million, the bulk of which is courtesy of the Power Industry. The Pharmaceutical-Biotech Industry, a regional darling, hopes to deliver $575 million in fourth-quarter starts divided among 15 projects. The largest of these is the long-awaited plan by Alexandria Real Estate Equities (NYSE:ARE) (Pasadena, California) to begin the $330 million first phase of the new life sciences campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
