SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 7, 2013) - IDG Enterprise this week held its second annual Consumerization of IT in the Enterprise (CITE) Conference + Expo -- the first conference devoted exclusively to the intersection of consumer technologies and the enterprise -- leaving more than 800 attendees with expert insight on the latest trends disrupting the enterprise technology landscape. Throughout the event, industry thought leaders, IT executives, media and analysts heard from executives from leading organizations such as AT&T, Citrix Systems, Cisco, IntraLinks, NASA and Starz Entertainment address the benefits and challenges of integrating consumer technologies into the enterprise workplace.

The CITE Conference + Expo kicked off with a powerful keynote address by Hamel, the renowned author and management expert whose latest venture seeks to reinvent management by harnessing the power of open innovation. He shared a peek at some of the latest gadgets under consideration by NASA for future use.
In addition to intriguing keynote speeches, attendees heard firsthand how organizations are adapting to the consumerization of IT in the enterprise from the likes of Leo P. Rohlinger, Executive Director, AT&T Mobility Solutions Services and Cisco's Vice President of Global Marketing Planning and Programs, Marie Hattar. Additional key sessions of the conference included IntraLinks' "From Cockpit to Office Park: The "Share" Paradigm in Modern Business" and Citrix's "Power to the People! Providing Work/Life Balance with a New Service Delivery Model." The final panel on "Leading Technology and Business Change in the New Era" pulled all the threads of the CITE Conference + Expo conversation together. For the first time, CITE capped off the first day of the conference with an Evening of Innovation, which introduced attendees to innovative, enterprise-focused mobile, social and communications technologies launched at DEMO Mobile 2013, a sister event to CITE. A panel with IT executives and Alex Rosen, Managing Director at IDG Ventures, provided feedback to the demonstrators prior to an interactive discussion with all in attendance.
