The Accounts Payable Network Introduces the Accounts Payable Leadership Conference

The Ultimate Training & Networking Conference Where AP Leaders Will Come Together to Share Solutions to Meet the New Demands in AP

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - February 15, 2011) - The Accounts Payable Network announces the Accounts Payable Leadership Conference -- April 11-13, 2011 -- The Ritz-Carlton Buckhead, Atlanta, GA.

The conference will be co-chaired by two remarkable AP veterans. Judy Bicking, AP and Procure-to-Pay Consultant, is a 27-year Johnson & Johnson veteran who led the U.S. Shared Services Center and, since her retirement, has been consulting on AP best practices and is a lead trainer for the IOMA/TAPN Certification Program. Debbie Vander Bogart, Senior Director, Finance General Manager, Shared Service Center at Levi Strauss & Company, has a wealth of experience in procure-to-pay and has been a driving force for adoption of best practices throughout her career.

AP professionals are working hard to keep abreast of the changing and complex 1099 federal and state information reporting regulations, to learn how new automation solutions can improve productivity and slash processing costs, and to manage the AP team to reduce risk and improve the bottom-line. And they are doing this in a real-time environment that calls for a high level of customer service.

This conference will bring together hundreds of finance professionals who will share proven best practices, swap ideas with colleagues, get energized and come away with a list of innovative, productivity-improvement, cost-saving, and control and service-enhancing procedures that will benefit their organization immediately.

The conference will kick off with three high-impact pre-conference workshops on Monday, April 11, 2011:

  1.  The Essentials of AP Training & Certification Review
  2. 1099/Information Reporting Training & Certification Review
  3. AP Leaders Roundtable

The two-day conference, beginning April 12th, will feature:

  • More than 25 speakers who will share their AP knowledge and expertise during the 5 general sessions and 18 concurrent breakout sessions in three tracks
  • Networking opportunities at the breaks, lunches, cocktail reception and roundtable discussions where attendees can share informally what works and what doesn't
  • Exhibitors who will share what solutions are available to solve AP challenges

"No effort has been spared to insure that this is the best accounts payable leadership conference ever," said TAPN CEO Phil Binkow. "Every session leader is highly recognized in her or his area of expertise for helping others get greater results, in less time, with fewer resources. I personally guarantee that every attendee will take away the greatest understanding possible of the options and best approaches to addressing and solving their accounts payable initiatives."
