The Asia Pacific Fund Declares Distributions

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - December 10, 2007) - The Board of Directors of The Asia Pacific Fund, Inc. (NYSE: APB), has declared a dividend of $4.04 per share of ordinary income and a distribution of $4.11 per share of long-term capital gains. The distributions are payable on January 14, 2008, to shareholders of record on December 28, 2007 (ex-date December 26, 2007).

These distributions are to be paid in cash, except in the case of shareholders who have elected to participate in the dividend reinvestment plan.
