The Association of BC Forest Professionals Chooses Notarius' Digital Signature

MONTREAL, CANADA--(Marketwired - May 5, 2014) - Notarius is proud to announce its partnership with the Association of BC Forest Professionals (ABCFP), whose members may now access Notarius' digital signature. The ABCFP is the 22nd Canadian professional association that has chosen Notarius to provide its members with the option of digitally signing their documents.

As part of their day-to-day activities, British Columbia's forest professionals regularly sign important documents and they must comply with the strict requirements of BC's Foresters Act, which governs the regulations observed by the province's forest professionals. Moreover, the ABCFP's primary role consists of protecting the public's interest in BC's forests by ensuring compliance with the Foresters Act and ABCFP bylaws, including the identification of the forest professional responsible for work documents.

Notarius' digital signature is therefore an ideal tool to meet these regulatory requirements as well as members' day-to-day operational objectives. This signature authenticates a document's signatory and his/her professional status, while guaranteeing that the document has not been altered since it was signed. These document security benefits are further combined with the advantages of paperless processes and therefore add value with regard to costs, productivity and environmental impact.

"We are thrilled to welcome the ABCFP among the professional associations that already trust our digital signature," said Claude Charpentier, President and CEO of Notarius. "The addition of forest professionals to the roster expands the long list of various professional associations that have chosen our digital signature. We are particularly proud of this partnership given the alignment of both our organizations' environmental values."

Members of the ABCFP that wish to avail themselves of this digital signature may do so now on Notarius' web site.
