TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - May 22, 2014) - "Girls can do anything" is a not only a tagline at The Bishop Strachan School (BSS), it's a shared spirit of empowerment and limitless possibilities.
The school, which prides itself on progressive culture and education, has retained Toronto-based Cundari, known for its progressive integrated communications, as its new agency of record.
BSS is embarking on a two-year expansion project that envisions the reinvention of "school." A leader in girls' learning and pedagogical innovation, the expansion will provide students with a fully integrated, 21st-century learning environment designed from the ground up to support a powerful program that brings the sciences and arts together.
The expansion marked an opportunity to engage an innovative agency partner that would lead the brand on a new creative journey. The agency search began in early March, with BSS seeking a strategic and nimble team to enhance its brand and carry on its tradition of fearless and relevant creative. The school short-listed three national Canadian agencies and after a formal pitch process, selected Cundari.
"BSS is a leader in innovation and sets the bar high in everything we do," says Deryn Lavell, Head of School, BSS. "There must be an alignment of those values with our partners and we see that with the team at Cundari. We're looking forward to great things ahead and keeping BSS at the forefront of innovation in its marketing and communications strategy."
Cundari has a long history in the education sector with clients such as George Brown College, French Language Education Ontario, Ivey Business School at Western University, Toronto School of Art and York University.
"We love the passion that BSS has for its brand," said Andrew Simon, Chief Creative Officer, Cundari. "With a real desire to break new ground and provoke a different kind of conversation, we are thrilled with the potential in this partnership."
Cundari's new traditional and digital advertising for BSS will be in market by September of this year.
