The Breakaway Group Adds Five Renowned Healthcare Experts to Advisory Board

DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - February 26, 2008) - The Breakaway Group has added five healthcare leaders to its advisory board, a carefully selected group of experts who actively contribute to strategy, innovation, financial planning, and business development for the company. New to the advisory board are Howard Block, Greg Brophy, Robert A. Frist Jr., John Markus and William A. Spooner. The advisors join the company's current board which includes: David Batstone, professor at the University of San Francisco; Brian Kosar, president of Kosar Investments; Paula Morgan, founder of Morgan Consulting Resources; and, Dr. Jeffrey R. Woodside, M.D., executive vice president and chief medical officer for University of Tennessee Medical Group.

Howard Block, Ph.D., is managing director of Knowledge Investment Partners. Block's career includes more than 10 years as an equity analyst on Wall Street, gaining recognition as a member of Institutional Investor's All-America Research Team and by the well-regarded Greenwich Survey. His career also includes positions with Robertson Stephens and Bank of America.

Greg Brophy was most recently president of HealthSouth's diagnostic division where he led a successful turnaround and sale to The Gores Group, a private equity firm. Brophy's career also includes executive positions with CTI Molecular Imaging, Inc., CPS Innovations, Inc. and Alston & Bird, LLP.

Robert A. Frist, Jr. is president, CEO and chairman of the board of HealthStream, a company providing customized research and learning solutions to more than 1,500 hospitals and healthcare facilities nationwide. Frist serves on the board of directors for Hearing Planet, Passport Health and the Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation.

John Markus recently joined the health law practice group for corporate law firm Balch & Bingham. Previously, Markus was executive vice president and chief compliance officer for HealthSouth Corporation and served as senior vice president for corporate compliance at Fresnius Medical Care North America. Markus's career also includes private law practice, representing regulation and reimbursement, Medicare coverage and compliance cases.

William A. Spooner is senior vice president and chief information officer of Sharp HealthCare. Over the past 25 years, Spooner has directed planning and implementation of integrated information systems for the company, which has gained national recognition by publications such as Hospital & Health Networks.
