NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - January 20, 2011) - Oprah Winfrey's doing it. Martha Stewart, too! That is, learning and sharing the beauty of Australia on recent episodes. During Oprah's Ultimate Australian Adventure -- first stop, beach bash on Hamilton Island -- Hayden Wood (aka Woody), world champion bartender and cocktail book author, was invited by celebrity chef Curtis Stone to mix Oprah's first "Aussie" cocktail. Called the HAV-O, it combines three simple ingredients: Wild Hibiscus Flowers in Syrup, pineapple and Cachaca.

Woody remarked, "To charge the cocktail I used Cachaça, a Brazilian sugar cane spirit. Native pineapples, when freshly juiced, bring out the best of the sweet-tang this fruit is known for. Wild Hibiscus Flowers in Syrup, another native Australian product, added beautiful rich red hue and subtle sweetness, balancing the pineapple's tartness. The edible flower is a striking visual and made for an interesting talking point with Oprah and her guests."

HAV-O
Makes 1 Drink

3 oz freshly juiced Pineapple Juice
½ oz syrup from Wild Hibiscus Flowers in Syrup*
1 ½ oz Cachaça (I use Sagatiba Pura)
Ice
1 Wild Hibiscus Flower from the jar

Juice half a pineapple (enough for four drinks). Add juice, syrup and Cachaca to cocktail shaker and shake well before pouring over ice into a tall highball glass. Garnish with wild hibiscus flower.
