The California Wine Club's New Pacific Northwest Series Unlocks Hidden Wine Treasures

More Than 100 Charter Members Will Receive the First Shipment in October 2013

CAMARILLO, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 18, 2013) - After 23 years of discovering and bringing the hidden gems from California's small, family owned wineries to members across the country, The California Wine Club announced its new Pacific Northwest Series.

"This series was designed in response to requests from members, who know that we work tirelessly to bring them exceptional wine selections that otherwise they may never discover," said Bruce and Pam Boring, owners of The California Wine Club.

The Pacific Northwest Series includes two selections, either two varietals from a single family winery or two wines from different wineries, shipped every other month. The first wines are a 2009 Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and the Bruno's 2012 Columbia Valley Sauvignon Blanc, both from Va Piano Winery in Walla Walla, Washington.

The cabernet sauvignon has chocolate and dark cherry aromas, tastes of warm chocolate, anise, a rich balance of cassis, dark cherry and vibrant acidity, and finishes with a kiss of toasted almond and oak. Award notes include 91 points from "Cellar Selection" Wine Enthusiast (May 2013) and 90 points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (July 2013). The sauvignon blanc, with flowery fragrances and hints of stone fruits, has full, bright tropical fruit flavors and great acidity. Just released, the wine's kudos include 90 points from The Tasting Panel, Anthony Dias Blue.

The California Wine Club uniquely brings hand-selected, artisan wines to its members monthly along with a 100% guarantee of satisfaction. In addition to the Pacific Northwest Series, there are four additional clubs: the Premier Series featuring handcrafted, award-winning California wines, the Signature Series for collectors and connoisseurs, the International Selections featuring small wineries from around the world, and the Aged Cabernet Series featuring prestigious California wines aged between eight and 12 years.

Members can re-order their favorite wines for up to 50% off the retail price through the club. The California Wine Club membership is a unique gift for business associates, family or friends, with gift options ranging from one to 12 months. Since there are no fees, if needed, a member can cancel any time. The California Wine Club will never sell bulk or close out wines; only real craft wines made with pride, passion and authenticity. For more information: http://www.cawineclub.com.
