The Caribbean's Premier Blues Festival Returns Once Again to Nevis

Nevis Blues Festival Showcases the Best in Blues, Soul, Funk and Blues-Rock April 14-16

CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS--(Marketwired - April 05, 2016) - If world-class blues music on a beautiful Caribbean beach sounds good to you, get to Nevis this April for the Nevis Blues Festival, which takes place April 14 - 16. With new service with Winair flying directly to Nevis from multiple hubs in the Caribbean, the festival is even easier to get to.

The festival brings together international blues, soul, funk, and blues-rock artists for three nights of incredible performances right on Oualie Beach. International artists for the 2016 line-up include: Ian Siegal, British Blue Hall of Fame and eight times British Blues award winner; Kirk Fletcher, guitarist of choice for everyone from The Fabulous Thunderbirds to Cyndi Lauper and Italian mega star Eros Ramazzotti; blues-rock guitarist Simon McBride who is often compared to Al Di Meola, Carlos Santana and Joe Bonamassa; and many others. The festival will offer a chance to enjoy great blues in a breathtaking setting, along with excellent beach BBQ and libations.

In addition to the Blues Festival, Nevis offers amazing daytime activities like hiking, cycling, and all watersports, as well as cultural activities like island tours that include a visit to the Hamilton House Museum, the birthplace and now historical tribute to Alexander Hamilton, a US founding father who was born and educated in Nevis.

Accommodations run the gamut, from 5-star luxury resorts like the Four Seasons Nevis, upscale plantation hotels like Nisbet Plantation and Montpelier, and beautiful vacation villas to smaller charming properties including Oualie Beach Resort, where the festival is held, Hermitage Plantation Inn and Golden Rock Plantation Inn. Nevis is known for its culinary offerings -- everything from fine dining to authentic beach shack barbecue, so foodies will definitely enjoy this aspect of the island.
