THE CMO CLUB Announces CMOs Choice Winners in 6 Categories Voted by Peers

Honors CMOs at the 2013 CMO Awards Dinner

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Nov 15, 2013) - An elite group of over 60 CMOs along with key industry leaders gathered at New York City's The Upper Crust on November 12 to attend the inaugural CMO Awards, hosted by The CMO Club (TheCMOClub.com). At the event, twenty-three CMOs were recognized for outstanding achievement in 6 dynamic categories, and one "CMO's Choice" winner was announced per category based on CMO Club member voting. Stephen Quinn, CMO of Walmart, was also honored as the Club's first inductee into the CMO Hall of Fame.

Prior to the Awards Dinner, 18 winners, including Stephen Quinn, participated in an exclusive CMOs-only Roundtable to share insights around the topic of "What's in Store in 2014 for Marketing." At the reception, attendees enjoyed an extended cocktail hour and seated dinner before the evening's hosts, Phil Clement of Aon and Carol Kruse (formerly) of ESPN, took the stage to announce both category and CMOs Choice winners. Towards the end of the ceremony, Stephen Quinn received a standing ovation as he was inducted into the CMO Hall of Fame by Greg Welch of Spencer Stuart. To close the Awards, CMO Club Founder Pete Krainik surprised guests with an uplifting performance from The Boys and Girls Choir of Harlem Alumni Ensemble

"In addition to all category winners and Stephen Quinn, my sincerest congratulations to the 6 CMOs Choice Winners. For the first-ever CMO Awards, we had a great voting turnout of CMO Club members and it's an incredible honor to be selected by your peers. The energy and insights shared at both the Roundtable and the 2013 CMO Awards Dinner from the 60+ CMOs that attended was the perfect fit for the club's mission to engage Heads of Marketing in The World's Best CMO Conversations," noted CMO Club Founder and CEO, Pete Krainik.
