The CMO Club Launches 2014 CMO Awards Voted by Peers

Nominations Now Being Accepted for 2014 Program, With Two New Categories

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Mar 26, 2014) - At its Spring CMO Innovation and Inspiration Summit on Tuesday, The CMO Club announced the 2014 CMO Awards, created to celebrate the marketing industry's brightest leaders and to provide a forum to share their successes with other CMOs. Nominations are open to the public and are now being accepted online at www.TheCMOAwards.com for CMOs in eight dynamic categories. Established in 2013, The CMO Awards are the first and only CMO Awards program driven and decided entirely by an elite group of peer CMOs.

In addition to the existing six CMO Award categories, the 2014 program includes two newly created CMO Awards for Social Responsibility and Content Engagement. From among category winners, members of the CMO Club will vote later this year for one individual per category as the "CMOs Choice." 2014 will also mark the CMO Awards' second induction into the CMO Hall of Fame. Last November, the honor went to Stephen Quinn, CMO of Walmart.

Nominees for outstanding CMOs in the eight categories may be submitted between March 2014 and May 2014 via the online nomination form. Nominations are open to the public and nominees are not required to be a member of The CMO Club. Nominees must hold the title of CMO or senior marketing title for a major company, brand, or organization (excludes companies selling predominately to marketing organizations). Marketing executives are permitted to nominate themselves.

Finalists in each of the eight Award categories will be announced in June, with four winners per category selected by August 30th, 2014. All finalists, winners and the 2014 CMO Hall of Fame inductee will be honored at the CMO Awards Dinner November 18th, 2014 in NYC, and are will participate in an "All Star" Thought Leadership roundtable prior to the event. At the awards event, the results of the CMOs Choice voting will also be announced.

"We are excited to build on the success of last year's inaugural program and launch the 2014 CMO Awards. The addition of two new categories provides the opportunity to honor an even greater number of deserving CMOs, and celebrate more comprehensively the amazing things these CMOs are accomplishing. Our recently enhanced nomination and voting platform will allow for increased engagement around the Awards between CMO Club members, nominees, and the industry at large," noted CMO Club Founder and CEO, Pete Krainik.
