The Court Agrees to Special Case Management of Strateco's Motion to Invalidate

BOUCHERVILLE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Feb. 10, 2014) - Strateco Resources Inc. ("Strateco") (TSX: RSC)(FRANKFURT:RF9) announced today that the Associate Chief Justice has appointed the honourable Justice Danielle Blondin of Quebec Superior Court (the "Court") to hear its motion to invalidate. This appointment is aimed at ensuring that the proceedings are handled efficiently and facilitating the resolution of the case.

On January 10, 2014, Quebec's Attorney General filed a motion for special case management of Strateco's motion to invalidate. The motion, which Strateco did not oppose, was heard by the Associate Chief Justice on February 5, 2014. The honourable Justice Danielle Blondin is familiar with the case, as she was responsible for Strateco's legal proceedings in 2013, including the motion for mandamus.

On December 5, 2013, Strateco filed its motion to invalidate the November 7, 2013, decision by Quebec's Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment, Wildlife and Parks to refuse to deliver the certificate of authorization for the underground exploration phase of the Matoush project. In addition to seeking to invalidate the minister's decision, Strateco is asking the Court to force the minister to issue the certificate of authorization needed for the advanced exploration phase of the project.
