The Crichton Group Hires Jessica Webb-Ayer, J.D., to Serve as Compliance Officer

Middle Tennessee's Largest Independent Insurance Agency Adds Attorney to Benefits Compliance Practice, Expanding Comprehensive Offerings That Aid Clients in Navigating the Complexities of Today's Regulatory Environment


NASHVILLE, TN--(Marketwired - Oct 6, 2015) - The Crichton Group, Middle Tennessee's largest independent insurance agency, announced today that Jessica Webb-Ayer, J.D., has been named the agency's compliance officer.

In this newly-created position, Webb-Ayer will lead The Crichton Group's employee benefits compliance practice. She will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the agency's compliance service suite for clients, and training and educating the group's benefits practice employees.

Prior to joining The Crichton Group, Webb-Ayer was a legal editor at Business and Legal Resources (BLR) for its human resources and employment law publications. At BLR, she was the point person for employment legal issues such as the Affordable Care Act, healthcare insurance, Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) and employee benefits. Additionally, she has written extensively for publications related to labor and employment law and served as an editor of an online benefits newsletter and benefits manual.

Webb-Ayer earned her J.D. from The University of Tennessee. She obtained an undergraduate degree from Lipscomb University. Webb-Ayer is licensed to practice law in the state of Tennessee.
