The Edge Connection Honors 2007 Microentrepreneur Award Winners

KENNESAW, GA--(Marketwire - July 10, 2007) - The Edge Connection hosted its second annual Awards Gala Dinner and Silent Auction at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel in April. This year's honorees are leading entrepreneurs who gallantly contribute their time and efforts to their communities through volunteer activities and financial contributions to non-profit agencies and charities. These honorees epitomize community leadership, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy.

This year's Awards Gala was a spectacular affair. The guests were treated like stars, enjoying a weekend of pampering, complimentary gifts, and excitement as they walked the red carpet with this year's honorees and gala sponsors.

Proceeds from the Awards Gala benefit The Edge Connection training program that targets low- to moderate-income women, minorities, and persons with disabilities throughout the greater Metro Atlanta Area. The Edge Connection fights poverty at the source -- by teaching people the skills to become self-sufficient and self-sustaining.

The Edge Connection offers an award-winning and nationally recognized program that delivers best-practices, microenterprise and small business training, financial literacy, entrepreneurially focused technology training, and essential entrepreneurial support services to aid microentrepreneurs to launch, sustain, or grow a business.

The Edge Connection is a fully independent, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization and located on the campus of Kennesaw State University within the Coles College of Business. It provides services throughout metro Atlanta and partners with agencies statewide.

The Edge Connection is a founding member of Georgia Micro Enterprise Network and is a member of the national microenterprise trade association, the Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO).
