"The Expert's Edge" Author Ken Lizotte to Speak at IMCNE Thoughtleading Conference

WALTHAM, MA--(Marketwire - March 13, 2008) - Can thoughtleading save a consulting practice? Can publishing articles, books and public speaking significantly enhance a consultant's professional image, helping to retain clients while attracting news ones?

The simple answer is "of course." But a more in-depth analysis will be provided by author Ken Lizotte CMC, Chief Imaginative Officer (CIO) of emerson consulting group inc., on March 28 as part of the New England chapter of the Institute of Management Consultants' (IMCNE) full-day conference at the Hilton Garden Inn in Waltham, Massachusetts appropriately titled The End of Boom and Bust: How Thoughtleading Can Help You Rise to the Top.

Ken Lizotte is the author of five books, including his latest from McGraw Hill "The Expert's Edge: Become the Go-To Authority People Turn to Every Time," and is one of the leading advocates of thoughtleading as a method to develop business. He has spoken to countless groups on the value of publishing ideas with a primary focus on becoming an expert "with an edge" in your field.

"Studies of thoughtleading do indicate that there is a quantifiable return on investment as a result of this strategy," writes Ken in "The Expert's Edge." "Some of these studies are direct and dramatic while others may feel murkier in their reliance on anecdotes. Yet the research exists, and its results are overwhelmingly affirmative. Thoughtleaders make the most money."

Sharing the forum with other notable thoughtleaders such as Alan Weiss, author of "Million Dollar Consulting" and 24 other books, and Lew McCreary, editor of Harvard Business Review, Ken's workshop is titled "Publishing Your Ideas" in which the value and techniques of regularly publishing articles and books will be explained.

"The reason we engage in thoughtleading or any other business development strategy is, after all, to develop business," Lizotte says. "We want thoughtleading to help us build our businesses and keep them strong and we want our target customers to turn to us as the one and only go-to authority because that means they are continually coming back. That's the expert's edge."
