MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - April 23, 2014) - The Farha Foundation, Quebec's leading HIV/AIDS fundraising organization, officially launches ÇA MARCHE 2014. The 22nd edition of this annual walk is focused on community support and is appropriately themed "Lead The Change, For Those Who Can't" to highlight the role of community in support those disadvantaged by HIV/AIDS. For the first year the walk will now take place on the last Saturday, instead of the last Sunday in September!
Starting from Parc Émilie-Gamelin (corner St-Catherine East and St-Hubert) on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 9 a.m., participants will follow a seven-kilometer route through the streets of downtown Montreal. Everyone of all ages is invited to join the Farha Foundation in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
"ÇA MARCHE supports our commitment to the HIV/AIDS community in Quebec. The funds raised will be directed to support programs that help to minimize feelings of isolation and to those living with the disease including the secondary effects associated with it, specifically living and medical expenses," states Linda Farha, Farha Foundation Spokesperson.
The Farha Foundation would like to thank the sponsors whose contributions make ÇA MARCHE 2014 possible: our Gold Sponsors, Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada, Zenergy Communications; our Silver Sponsor, AbbVie; and our Bronze Sponsor, Virgin Radio. We are also extremely grateful to our supporting partners, volunteers and dedicated staff.

About ÇA MARCHE
ÇA MARCHE (www.camarche.ca), one of the first Farha Foundation events to emerge in 1993, is an annual walkathon of 7 kilometers, gathering thousands of people aiming at raising funds and sensitizing the population to the HIV/AIDS cause.
To maximize awareness of the event, the Farha Foundation asks you to spread the word to as many people as possible. In doing so, you will contribute directly to helping those living with HIV/AIDS, a disease that currently infects as many as two people a day in Quebec. Bring your family and friends to inspire our community to support the cause. Sign up now at www.camarche.ca.
