The Forward Wins 2009 Communicator "Award of Distinction" for Website

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - August 18, 2009) - The Forward, America's most influential Jewish weekly newspaper, has won a prestigious 2009 Communicator "Award of Distinction" from the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA). The newspaper was honored last year by the IAVA for its online news and information website TheJewishDailyForward.com.

The Communicator Awards, which are given annually by the IAVA, honor creative excellence for communications professionals. This year, entries were received from over 8,500 companies and agencies across the US and around the world.

The competition is judged and overseen by the IAVA, an invitation-only 450+ member-based organization of leading professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, communications, advertising, creative and marketing firms.
