The Forzani Group Ltd.: Sport Mart Launches Instant Replay Contest

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Aug. 16, 2007) - Sport Mart, a corporate banner of The Forzani Group Ltd. (TSX:FGL), Canada's largest retailer of sporting goods announced the launch of their biggest VIP membership drive contest to date, the "Instant Replay Contest" with a Grand Prize package including a chance to win the value of their purchases within that week and a trip for two to see a Calgary Flames game.

The contest was dually created to recognize Sport Mart's strong current VIP membership base by providing bonus prizing and acquire new members to its VIP program. Contest entrants get a chance to win what they spend each and every week during the eight-week contest promotion, as well as get entered for a chance to win an all inclusive trip for two with airfare, accommodation and tickets to see the Calgary Flames in action. To enter the contest, customers make a purchase at Sport Mart and receive a unique pin code to register online on the Instant Reply contest micro site, where all the fun begins. Registered customers then get access to weekly store security video spoofs divulging a play by play on the customer they are following. The video includes audio with two sports desk style commentators that bring the play by play action to life with witty banter, and clever sports lingo altered for the in store shopping experience that is downright funny. As the contest progresses, the videos travel through Sport Mart's major category departments, showcasing its vast selection and brand name products.
