The 'Good Times' of Ibiza Are Coming to Las Vegas

Ibiza EDM DJ Duo The Astrofreeks and Female Vocal Trio Next Step (Featuring Former Lead Vocalists of Chic), Headline the Official Launch Party for Pacific Electronic Music (PEM) at Light Nightclub, Mandalay Bay, Wednesday May 6

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Apr 23, 2015) - The intensely grooving Electronic Dance Music (EDM) of Ibiza is bringing a funked-up disco infusion to Las Vegas May 6 with the official U.S. label launch of Pacific Electronic Music (PEM) (www.pacificelectronicmusic.com) at the world famous Light Nightclub, Mandalay Bay's premiere hotspot turned on by Cirque Du Soleil.

The highly-anticipated event, branded "Good Times" after the 1979 disco classic by CHIC, marks the first ever U.S. performance by The Aristofreeks, the red hot Ibiza-based DJ, Producer and Remix duo of DMC Mixing Championship Finalist Max Martire and Dutch Producer Shanti Matkin. The two sonic masters joined forces in 2014 to re-inject disco into modern house music.

Their show will feature vocals by another PEM signee, Next Step, the trio of Norma Jean Wright, Alfa Anderson and Luci Martin (all former lead vocalists of Chic) along with the visual artistry of Cirque Du Soleil.

Pacific Electronic Music (PEM) music company was formed by legendary record industry executive Jerry Greenberg with Martire. PEM's first signing was Kathy Sledge, lead singer of disco legends Sister Sledge, who released the label's debut single "Keep It Movin'."

After releasing Aristrofreeks remixes of Chic classics "Le Freak" and "Good Times," Next Step is set to drop its first original single "Get On Up." The Light event doubles as a release party for the infectious new track.

At one time the youngest president of any major record company -- he was 32 when he became president of Atlantic Records in 1974 -- Greenberg signed everyone from ABBA, Foreigner and Genesis to Chic, Dr. Dre & Easy E, Foreigner, J. Geils Band and The Blues Brothers. Among his many other executive positions was President of MJJ Music, Michael Jackson's label distributed through Sony, from 1993 to 2000. He also worked with The Rolling Stones, Bee Gees, AC/DC, Bad Company, Eric Clapton and Led Zeppelin.

Focused on releases in EDM with global appeal, Pacific Electronic Music has offices in Beverly Hills and Ibiza and has worldwide distribution by The Legend Group/Orchard.
