This support will help the Centre to carry out its arts programming, which includes several artistic performances of popular, country, and traditional music, headlined by Francophone artists from Ontario, Quebec, and Prince Edward Island.

"The Centre Communautaire de Chatham-Kent La Girouette brings together Francophones and Francophiles of all ages and offers quality artistic performances. Our Government is proud to have contributed to this project, which promotes the linguistic and cultural vitality of this Franco-Ontarian community," said Minister Moore.

"I am proud to contribute to the Francophone arts programming in my community and recognize the important role it plays in Chatham-Kent-Essex," said Mr. Van Kesteren.

"The arts are an excellent way to bring the Francophone community together, and financial assistance from the Government of Canada makes it possible to provide a wealth of quality arts programming," said Bernard Tremblay, President of the Centre Communautaire Chatham-Kent La Girouette.

The Centre Communautaire de Chatham-Kent La Girouette offers French-language arts programming for Francophone minority communities. The organization presents a variety of musical performances and also provides awareness activities for children and adolescents.
