The Government of Canada Supports Centre Culturel "Les Trois P'tits Points..."

ALEXANDRIA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 13, 2009) - On behalf of the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, Pierre Lemieux, Member of Parliament (Glengarry-Prescott-Russell), today announced funding for the Centre culturel "Les trois p'tits points...". This support will help the Centre present its 2009-2010 programming series of theatre and music.

"This centre will be able to continue providing artists with opportunities to express their creativity, while enhancing the quality of life of Canadians and stimulating the province's economy," said Minister Moore.

"The Centre culturel "Les trois p'tits points..." is a very important contributor to Francophone arts in our community," said Mr. Lemieux. "I am proud that our Government supports this organization, which gives both residents and visitors to Alexandria the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of Francophone music and theatre."

"We would like to thank the Government of Canada for this funding, which will enable us to put on quality shows and allow the community of Glengarry to enjoy a wide range of artists without having to go to the big city," said Nicole Geoffrion, Executive Director of the Centre culturel "Les trois p'tits points...".

The Government of Canada has provided funding of $18,000 through the Arts Presentation Canada Program of the Department of Canadian Heritage. This program gives Canadians increased access to the diversity and richness of Canada's culture through professional arts festivals, presentation of live professional performances, and other artistic experiences.
