Businesses need adequate resources to create and commercialize innovative products. The Government of Canada is committed to supporting Canadian businesses that are investing in innovation. As a true economic driver, innovation is the key to success because it generates growth that benefits businesses and communities.

Greg Fergus, Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED), announced that $750,000 in financial assistance has been granted to Bio Biscuit to strengthen and stimulate its production capacity through the acquisition and installation of a new packing line.

The financial assistance granted under CED's Quebec Economic Development Program (QEDP) will help the enterprise continue to grow and to expand its market. Established in 1996, Bio Biscuit is a Quebec business that makes dog biscuits and dry oven-baked food for cats and dogs.
