SAINT-HYACINTHE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 13, 2016) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)
Businesses need adequate resources to create and commercialize innovative products. The Government of Canada is committed to supporting Canadian businesses that are investing in innovation. As a true economic driver, innovation is the key to success because it generates growth that benefits businesses and communities.
Greg Fergus, Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED), announced that $750,000 in financial assistance has been granted to Bio Biscuit to strengthen and stimulate its production capacity through the acquisition and installation of a new packing line.
The financial assistance granted under CED's Quebec Economic Development Program (QEDP) will help the enterprise continue to grow and to expand its market. Established in 1996, Bio Biscuit is a Quebec business that makes dog biscuits and dry oven-baked food for cats and dogs.
"We can be proud of the success of this Saint-Hyacinthe business. By improving its productivity, it will generate benefits for the community and the entire region."
Greg Fergus, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of ISED and Minister responsible for CED
"The Government of Canada's goal is to help businesses grow, innovate and export so that they can create good quality jobs and wealth for Canadians. That is why we support regional economic development partners such as Bio Biscuit."
The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister responsible for CED
"I am delighted to welcome you to our facility today. We are very grateful for the financial assistance granted by Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions.
