LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - February 04, 2014) - What's in a grilled cheese sandwich? As evidenced by The Grilled Cheese Truck's new menu, certainly a lot more than just bread, butter and cheese!
The Grilled Cheese Truck, a gourmet food truck serving creative sandwiches that are quickly growing in popularity across the country, has unveiled a new menu headlined by a Sweet Sriracha Chicken Melt that became a fan favorite when it was offered as a special. The melt features chili jack cheese with sweet sriracha roasted chicken, Asian vegetable salad and toasted ramen noodles on French bread.
Additional updated menu items include:
Goat Cheese Melt
- Herbed goat cheese with roasted butternut squash, cranberry-pear relish and spiced pecans on nine-grain bread;
- White cheddar cheese with chicken bratwurst, red cabbage sauerkraut, sautéed peppers and whole grain mustard on pretzel bread;
Roast Brie Melt
- Double cream brie with roast beef, caramelized onions, smoked tomatoes and horseradish on toasted ramen French bread.
And, for food truck fans with a hungry sweet tooth, along with its S'Mores Melt, The Grilled Cheese Truck now offers the Cheesycake Melt - Cheesecake filling with raspberry preserves and Oreo pieces on Oreo brioche bread.
For customers who are hooked on The Grilled Cheese Truck's signature melts, not to worry -- you'll still find such longtime favorites as The Cheesy Mac & Rib, Plain and Simple Melt, Three Cheese Melt and Cheesy Mac Melt on the new menu.
The menu also retains a variety of crusts, savory and sweet additions, and such sides as cups or shots of tomato soup, cup of mac & cheese, tater tots, homemade B&B pickle chips, and daily dipping sauces.
