The Honorary Title Announces Tour With Cartel

Band's Major Label Debut, "Scream and Light Up The Sky," Out August 28

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - August 14, 2007) - The Honorary Title will be joining Cartel as the main support on a two-month jaunt through the U.S. and Canada -- beginning August 20th in Chicago, and featuring dates in both Los Angeles and New York. Hailing from Brooklyn, the band -- vocalist/guitarist Jarrod Gorbel, bassist/keyboardist Aaron Kamstra, guitarist/keyboardist Jonathan Wiley, and drummer Adam Boyd -- is touring in support of the much anticipated full-length album, and major-label debut, "Scream and Light Up The Sky," which will be released on Reprise Records on August 28.

Produced by Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith and Beck), "Scream and Light Up The Sky" is already receiving an enthusiastic reception, with Alternative Press giving the record four out of five stars. "Playing with a full band, Gobel's distinct, powerfully emotional vocals have never sounded fuller than on 'Scream and Light Up The Sky,'" says AP.

Please see full tour dates below. The band will be adding a second date in New York to celebrate the release of their album soon. For more on the band, please visit their website
