The Legendary Pink Dots are kicking off their 30th Anniversary USA/Canada Tour promoting their new LP Seconds Late for the Brighton Line on October 15 in Vancouver, B.C., the first of only two Canadian performances, the second being in Toronto on October 26th

"Since 1980,The Legendary Pink Dots have created some of the most enigmatic and challenging compositions in modern music. The uniqueness of their work is due in large part to its omnivorous ability to consume and transform a variety of styles into a new, cohesive entity. The introverted folk of Nick Drake may be found here, as well as the graphic cyberpunk nightmares of Frank Tovey (Fad Gadget), not to mention the rhythmic permutations of Philip Glass. From Beefheart to Brahms, the sources of The Legendary Pink Dots' quicksilver soundscapes are myriad. What holds them all together is Ka-Spel's dense lyricism and grim obsessions." - ROLLING STONE

"…they traffic in horror and gothic darkness, but they do it with elegance, more slowly crescendoing George Romero dread than Wes Craven splatterfest."- Pitchfork

"New listeners beware; the intellectual stimulator of Dots records is addictive."PopMatters

The Dots formed in London in 1980 and in 1984 relocated to the Netherlands, where they continue to live today. They have released over 40 albums, continue to tour, and have a devoted worldwide following. The band has had many line-up shifts over the years but the core members remain vocalist/songwriter/keyboardist Edward Ka-Spel and keyboardist Phil Knight, now joined by Erik Drost on guitar and Raymond Steeg on sound.

Their music has been described as neo-psychedelia, ambient music, electronic music, tape music, industrial, psych folk, syth-po, post-punk, progressive jazz, noise, pop, and goth rock with a distinctly experimental/avant-garde bent, with comparisons to Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd.

Their music continues to evolve but the band remains legend…
