The Look and FASHION18 Magazines Suspended

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 30, 2006) - St. Joseph Media announced today that as part of an overall growth strategy to focus on its core brands, it will suspend publication of FASHION18 and The Look after the upcoming Winter issues. The Look will be distributed in Toronto's Globe and Mail on November 17 and in the Vancouver Sun, Calgary Herald, Edmonton Journal, Montreal Gazette and Ottawa Citizen on November 18 and 19. The Winter issue of FASHION18 will be on newsstands by November 13.

Despite excellent editorial product, advertisers' support - although favourable - has not reached the levels needed to sustain them. "At this time, we do not see a path to profitability for these titles," explained St. Joseph Media President Donna Clark. "Given St. Joseph Communications' numerous growth opportunities and business priorities, we are suspending FASHION18 and
The Look."

Both editorial teams have worked passionately to produce high-quality fashion magazines relevant to women and teens. The many nominations and awards received are testimony to their hard work and commitment to excellence. Every effort will be made to reassign the members of these talented teams.
