Zebras from Quebec

For the first time, CFL officials put their uniform on and joined the Alouettes' practice. Four zebras from Quebec were at today's practice including supervisor Jacques Decarie (Montreal), eight-year CFL veteran official Andre Proulx (Drummondville) and rookies who will see CFL action for the first time Michel Pinsonnault (Chateauguay) and Benoit Major (Ile Perrot). "We came to get our feet wet and make the speed adjustment," said Benoit Major.

Running back Marcus Houston, who played at Colorado and at Colorado State, was added to the roster.

According to Coach Matthews

"His injury was thoroughly investigated and we made sure he would be in great physical condition. He even took a speed camp in Atlanta in the off-season. He's got natural skills and he looks great," said Don Matthews about running back Michael Jenkins.
