The Montreal Alouettes: Training Camp Report-Day 18

SAINT-JEAN-SUR-RICHELIEU, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - June 7, 2006) - The following is today's recap of the Montreal Alouettes' training camp now taking place at the Campus du Fort Saint-Jean.

End of training camp

Today was the last day of training camp. Players will now start to prepare for the pre-season game vs the Winnipeg Blue Bombers tomorrow at 7 p.m.

Light walk-through

The team held the usual pre-game walk-through today which lasted less than 30 minutes.


General Manager Jim Popp announced today that Greg Moss (defensive back - Florida International), Les Mullings (fullback - St.Mary's), Matthieu Cock's Morissette (guard - Bishop's), Jarwarski Pollock (wide receiver - North Carolina) have been released.

Running backs

According to Coach Matthews, Robert Edwards will play at running back and Eric Lapointe will also get some reps.

Girard's MRI

Sylvain Girard's MRI is getting postponed daily because of the swelling on his foot. To be continued...

Daily schedule

Players will be convened at Olympic Stadium on Monday at 10 a.m. Practice will take place at 12 p.m. and players will be available for interviews after practice at the locker room. On Monday, players will also vote on the practice times for the entire season.
