The Montreal Alouettes: Trick or Treat at Sainte-Justine

Etienne Boulay, Matthieu Proulx, two cheerleaders and Touché visit sick children

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 31, 2006) - Montreal Alouettes' players Etienne Boulay, Matthieu Proulx, cheerleaders Joelle and Roxanne and mascot Touche went to Sainte-Justine Hospital to visit sick children of the Oncology-Hematology department today.

The centre treats children suffering from cancer and blood diseases. To celebrate Halloween with the kids, the Alouettes lent Sainte-Justine Hospital their game jerseys and the nurses and hospital staff wore them on their working shift all day.

"This is not a big deal for us, but we know how important it is for the kids," said rookie Etienne Boulay who signed autographs all morning. For Matthieu Proulx, the story is the same. "When we see them smiling, it means everything for us," said Proulx, who made all kinds of new friends. Both players gave out candies all morning.
The Alouettes try to find original ways to continue their community involvement throughout the year.
