The Motor Company Opens New Drilling Motor Facility

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 24, 2010) - The Motor Company Inc. today announced the opening of its new downhole drilling motor facility in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

"We are excited to be taking the next step in building our business and improving our ability to serve customers engaged in the drilling industry, both in North America and overseas," says TMC President, Daniel Gretener. "Our new facility will build upon TMC's commitment to meeting its customers' needs for sales, rentals and servicing of TMC's proven line of GeoDrive® downhole drilling motors."

Located at 5420 - 53rd Avenue, S.E. in Calgary, Alberta, the new facility consists of a 12,000 square foot shop along with 3 acres of yard space. The facility is fully equipped for the assembly and servicing of downhole drilling motors, with a wide coverage overhead crane, high performance breakout unit and full sized (tractor-trailer) paint booth. The facility also improves timely motor delivery and send-out through its multiple drive-through bays. Conveniently located in the Foothills Industrial Park, the facility has excellent access to major transportation corridors.

Head of Marketing, Todd Brown, adds, "This facility enhances our ability to meet our customer requirements for timely provision of drilling motors, in applications ranging from conventional oil and gas drilling, shale plays and other downhole drilling applications. Demand for GeoDrive® motors continues to increase as their reputation for reliability and cost effectiveness spreads. We've had great interest recently in our line of disposable motors that offer economic completion solutions by saving our customers valuable rig time in placing liners and drilling through bridges or tight spots on final casing runs. So all in all, the timing of the move couldn't be better."
