The Options Industry Council Announces New Seminar in University Outreach Program

The Road to Wall Street: Analyze Your Options

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - March 3, 2011) - The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced today a new seminar in its university outreach program. "The Road to Wall Street: Analyze Your Options" will be offered Friday, April 8 at Drexel University's LeBow College of Business in Philadelphia. Originally launched in the fall of 2010, OIC's university outreach program partners the options education group with a university to educate students about options and careers within the options industry.

Previously held at Baruch College in New York and the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, the half-day events are informative seminars designed for students and faculty featuring successful options traders, exchange leaders, industry professionals and a chartered financial analyst. Topics covered include experiences from the field, how the listed options markets work, where the industry is headed, and how to get started in the options business.

Registration for the Drexel event opens at 8:15 a.m. and the program kicks off at 9:00 a.m. with the session, "Experiences from the Field" with Michael Khouw, contributor to CNBC's "Options Action" and Senior Equity Derivatives Trader with Cantor Fitzgerald, L.P. Two panel discussions and the session, "Planning Your Future" follow. The seminar is capped off with a second "Experiences from the Field" featuring Eric Noll, Executive Vice President, Transaction Services at The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc.

Attendees must currently be enrolled in a 2- or 4-year undergraduate or graduate degree program.
