The PIMCO Foundation Announces 2009 Grant Recipients


NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - October 30, 2009) - The PIMCO Foundation, the charitable arm of the Newport Beach-based money management firm PIMCO, today announced it has awarded $549,375 in 2009 grants to 30 US charities and community organizations.

With over 200 applicants, grants ranged between $5,000 and $25,000. The 2009 grants were awarded across multiple priority areas. The 2009 grant recipients are:

The PIMCO Foundation also announced that their window for accepting 2010 grant applications will open on May 17th and will close on July 15th, 2010. The PIMCO Foundation accepts grants nationally for US-based nonprofit organizations. Grant applications for 2010 will be available in April of 2010 at www.pimco.com.
