NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - December 22, 2010) - The PIMCO Foundation, the charitable arm of the Newport Beach-based investment management firm PIMCO, announced today that it has awarded $1,410,725 in 2010 grants to a variety US charities.

The PIMCO Foundation also announced that their window for accepting 2011 grant applications will open on May 16th and will close on July 15th, 2010. The PIMCO Foundation accepts grants nationally for US-based nonprofit organizations. Grant applications for 2011 will be available in April of 2011 at www.pimco.com.
