The Princess of Wales' Own Regiment Celebrates 150 Years

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 3, 2013) - Approximately 120 members from The Princess of Wales' Own Regiment (PWOR) will conduct The Vimy Cross Rededication Ceremony at 7:00 p.m. April 4, 2013 at the PWOR Armouries.

When: April 4, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.

Where: PWOR Armouries 100 Montreal St, Kingston, Ont.

What: The unit will conduct a parade ceremony to honour and remember former PWOR members who gave their lives during The Battle of Vimy Ridge. The Vimy Cross Rededication Ceremony will be followed by the repatriation of an artifact belonging to the Coghill family. Maj Laird Coghill and family will be in attendance as this honour takes place. In celebration of their 150th year, the PWOR will also seal time capsules which each mess will open at different points in time. The Junior Ranks' Mess will open their capsule in 25 years, the Warrants and Sergeants' Mess will open theirs after 50 years and the Officers' Mess after 100 years.
