Exceptional In-Room Dining Menu Earns Notoriety for Luxury Hotel in Dallas, Texas

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwired - Oct 23, 2013) - The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas has captured a coveted new recognition from Saveur Magazine, which has ranked the hotel among the world's best for In-Room Dining. The Saveur Culinary Travel Awards 2013 identify 15 top in-room dining experiences from across the globe, with a winners' list which includes not only The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas but some of the most iconic names in the world of luxury hospitality.

Under the leadership of Executive Chef Chris Southwick, The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas recently introduced its breakthrough In-Room Dining menu, addressing travelers' increasing desire for hearty flavors specific to the Lone Star State. 

The new menu features popular Texas selections including Texas Grapefruit Brûlée for breakfast, and all-day offerings of Chilaquiles, Smoked Short Rib Hash, Mini-Elk Sausage Corn Dogs with Dr Pepper Barbecue Sauce, Slow-Cooked Beef Tacos, Short Ribs Braised with Texas' Own Shiner Bock Beer, and Texas Pecan Pie.

Since the new In-Room Dining menu was launched, Chef Southwick has added further regional delights, including Crunchy Pulled Chicken Flautas with Poached Eggs and Black Bean Purée, Lump Crab Cake with Piquillo Pepper and Avocado, and Slow-Roasted Barbecued Beef Brisket served with Crispy Onions and Apple Slaw.

Further innovations to the hotel's In-Room Dining experience allow guests to design their own burgers, salads, pasta, and breakfast dishes, with a broad selection of choices available for custom-ordering. A Make Your Own Salad selection includes choices of lettuce (tossed or chopped), proteins such as shrimp or beef tenderloin, cheese and fresh, locally-sourced garden vegetables to add at will. Even breakfast guests have a chance to personalize their experience, as Make Your Own Eggs Benedict can now be ordered from the extensive menu.
