The Ritz-Carlton Offers Teambuilding Opportunities That Benefit Local Communities

Let Us Pair the Ideal Conference Room With One of Our VolunTeaming® Projects

CHEVY CHASE, MD--(Marketwire - Aug 17, 2011) - An active leader in social responsibility, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C., a global leader in hotels, service and lifestyle, is committed to helping organizations make a positive impact in the communities in which their hotels are located through their unique VolunTeaming® program.

Take part in this extraordinary movement and, in addition to contributing to the lives of others, you'll build camaraderie among colleagues. Furthermore, when you book one of our meeting rooms at The Ritz-Carlton hotels in the United States, Mexico or the Caribbean, we will donate 10 percent of the guest room revenue to a charity of your choice and The Ritz-Carlton Community Footprints Fund.*

While half and full-day projects are our specialty, two-hour programs are available. In our tradition of providing extraordinary service, let us pair the ideal meeting or conference room with one of the following projects:

  • Bike Build for Charity: Teams compete in short, fast-paced games, earning points for bicycle parts that will be used to build bikes for a local children's charity;

  • Welcome Home for Habitat: This project supports the work of Habitat for Humanity by creating worthwhile housewarming gifts for the new homeowners;

  • Go Green Racing: This activity showcases the importance of recycling, alternative energy and green transportation while making a contribution to the local community; or

  • Literacy Builders: This project is designed to provide motivation and enthusiasm for reading among children through the assembly of bookshelves for donation to a local children's organization.

To book your next teambuilding retreat or to explore the meeting rooms available at your destination of choice, visit http://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Meetings/Default.htm.

* Offer subject to availability as determined by the hotel. Valid for groups with ten or more room nights. Offer may change without notice. Upon group's payment of the final invoice, donations of five percent of guest room revenue (excluding taxes and service charge) will be made by The Ritz-Carlton to the group's 501(c)(3) charity of choice and to the Community Footprints Fund.
