OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 22, 2010) - The Ottawa Senators' year-long commitment to community outreach programs throughout the National Capital Region continues. The following is a look at the club's community schedule from Friday, Oct. 22, to Thursday, Oct. 28.

Minor hockey pre-game and intermission activities

On Saturday, Oct. 23, Jack Rooney from the Kanata Blazers and Mason Esslinger from the Metcalfe-Russell RiverRats will be the Scotiabank Skaters in a ceremony prior to the Senators game against the Montreal Canadiens at Scotiabank Place. Players from the Char-Lan Rebels will take part in the Bell Relay Race, an on-ice activity to be held during the first intermission.

13th Annual Ottawa Celebrity Sports Dinner

On Monday, Oct. 25, Senators president Cyril Leeder will attend the 13th annual Ottawa Celebrity Sports Dinner. Funds raised from this event help support the SOLOWAY Jewish Community Centre and the Queensway Carleton Hospital – Care Grows West Campaign.

Spartacat Appearances

Spartacat, the Senators' ambassador of fun, will be at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus (501 Smyth Rd.) for the Rattle Me Bones road race from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be directed towards patient care, arthritis and orthopedics research at The Ottawa Hospital.
